    I had never thought about a life coach until a friend recommended Sarah and i'm so glad they did. I was stuck in what felt like an endless cycle of work, work, kids, work which left me exhausted and feeling like I wasn't 'doing' either very well. I had my head down and seemed to no longer be in control of how my week, month or year went, just constantly reacting to demands. I spent time with Sarah who skilfully and patiently encouraged me to take a step back and start to explore what is important to me. In the initial weeks, sessions with Sarah led to me, reconnecting with friends and starting to incorporate some fun back into my week. Our sessions are relaxed yet challenging and Sarah uses her vast experience in medicine and medical leadership to skilfully help you navigate the challenges and opportunities of working within the NHS.

    I have had experiences of therapy in the past but never coaching. Her appraoch was kind, professional and refreshing. With her support, I have been able to learn to implement boundaries in my personal and professional life. As a self- confessed people pleaser, this did not come easy. However, Sarah’s approach and guidance has helped me to implement boundaries that make me feel comfortable: ‘Would you rather be uncomfortable for five minutes stating boundaries or uncomfortable for days or weeks in a situation you did not want to be in?’ That is something I will carry with me.     I am using the theoretical stuff we discussed to keep me in my rational brain which impacts on my effectiveness and communication to colleagues surrounding me. The sessions really changed so much for me and helped me remain in control of my work life which feels good.     You had asked for some feedback so I just wanted to share how much I enjoyed your session. It was very professionally presented and your expertise and authority on the subject shone through. The role play was a great way to demonstrate transactions and I loved the exercises (despite squirming in my seat while receiving positive feedback). As I mentioned on the day, I have an interest in TA so I could follow the theory well. My only constructive reflection would be that it might have been a bit heavy for those who hadn’t heard of TA before – but I can’t really speak for them. All in all I came away confident that you are a highly experienced coach who could really help teams tackle unhelpful and unprofessional behaviours.

  • "I have heard complementary things about your away days"

    I wanted to let you know that I have heard complementary things about your away day session from others in the office. People loved the positive gossip bit, which really stood out. They also enjoyed the practical exercises about conversations, and about games. It is quite a big bombshell to accept that so many games go on….. I think some people are taking time to process that concept, and what they should do with it. I definitely think there is scope for you giving such a session to other teams.
